December 6th Meeting - Minutes

Requirements for being an active TAB member (meaning you get first dibs on books):

Requirements for being an active TAB member (meaning you get first dibs on books):
- Must have a library card with less than $1.00 in fines
- Must attend 1 meeting per month (unless you notify Stacie beforehand)
- Must attend 2 activities per year
Volunteers ages 14 & up are needed at the library. For TAB members, if you volunteer at least 2 hrs/week you get:
- No fines
- Up to 2 hrs on the computers each day
Contact Stacie at sfarmer@emcity.org if you'd like to volunteer so we can set up a training session.
Computer Tutoring to start in February. I need volunteers who can come once a month, on a Saturday, for 2 hrs. We will be helping people with basic computer skills such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, email, and internet browsing.
TAB meetings for January - March (see Upcoming Meetings on right).
Best way to contact people: Everyone said either email or phone calls. I'll be sending out reminder emails about meetings the Thursday before and you should get a reminder call the day before. Those who have been inactive for more than 2 months will not get phone calls.
2012 Utah Teen Video Challenge: Create a 30-90 second video the promotes the idea of using public libraries and reading and includes our interpretation of the summer reading slogan "Own the Night". 1st place winner receives $275 (great for a summer reading party)! Submissions must be received by March 24th, 2012. We'll talk more about this at our January meeting and whoever may want to do it.
